How to import into Anki

  1. Install Anki. The desktop app is free at apps.ankiweb.net. On a phone, use AnkiDroid or AnkiMobile.
  2. Download the .apkg file above. It saves straight to your device, with no signup.
  3. Open it in Anki. On desktop, choose File → Import and pick the file. On a phone, tap the file and open it with Anki. The deck appears in your list, ready to study.

What's in each card

Each card in the download has two sides. The front shows the German word, with nouns colored by gender (der is blue, die is pink, das is green), and plays the pronunciation audio where we have it. The back shows the English translation, the IPA pronunciation when we have it, and an example sentence in German and English.

The pictures and verb tables you see in the demo are part of studying in OWL. They are not in the .apkg file.
